I actually started off with loomigurumi, and that’s what inspired me to start crocheting! Now I don’t do loomigurumi anymore, but I used to love it!

(Don’t mind the ends that aren’t weaved in lol :face_with_peeking_eye::sweat_smile:)

Before I opened this post I was SURE loomigarumi was going to be amagurmu made with Ribblr Loomy yarn. LOL

I was dying to see what you made with Loomy.:slightly_smiling_face:

Nope never heard of it though. Honestly, I make mainly sweaters so I have next to me Arigarumi experience at all. Although I did manage to make myself a Ribbot once.:slightly_smiling_face:

My only question is how do you chain/make a magic ring?

Do you have to use the loom bands or do regular rubber bands

Yeah, I know a heap about it, and I was a professional band hoarder lol. I did it for about 12 years before I came to crochet a couple of years back and it allowed me to get the basics of stitching down before I started. It is honestly so fun and I thought it had kinda died I didn’t even know this many people knew about it haha but I’m so glad to see other people doing it. If you need any help or want any patterns, I would be happy to help you out, as I’m quite seasoned in the craft lol and everyone’s makes here are so cute <3

i’ve actually done this before as well, it helped me understand the mechanics of crochet a little better!

hmm, let me go find some of my old stuff and take pictures!

here’s some of my old stuff! they’ve kind of warped over time, but i made headphones, a phone, guinea pig, octopus, two mini bags, and some mini food (pizza, ice cream, pineapple, and strawberry)!

i have a ton more stuff, but don’t feel like searching through it all…

Ha! Just a bit of clickbait then I suppose :ribbot-cheeky-wink-tight:

Perhaps when I get my hands on some loony yarn, I’ll make another one showing what I used it for!

I would say for this you almost have to use the loom bands. You could use regular rubber bands, as long as you had enormous hooks I suppose?
