magnets for plushie feet (｡•́︿•̀｡)

hello ribblr friends! ⸜(｡˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝:heart:

i am currently working on a plushie for a friend using sweet snuggles yarn. i would like to put a magnet in each of the two front feet of the plushie so they have the option of sticking the feet together. (key word here being “option” – i do NOT want the magnets to be so strong that the feet stick together 24/7.)

my dilemma is i have no clue what magnets to use, and google is not being my friend on this one. my tension is pretty tight, so my already thick yarn (weight 7 chenille) is working up quite thick and dense. i bought these magnets and they did nothing lmao. i have not tried any other magnets yet as i don’t have the money to proceed with further trial and error (emphasis on the “error”) especially when i do not have much knowledge on the specifics of magnets. so i would like to know if anyone more knowledgeable can recommend me what magnets to use! :slightly_smiling_face:

I believe that the two magnets should connect through the yarn. If your stitches are tight the magnets should stay in place with stuffing the feet. Just make sure you stuff them in place of where you want them to connect.

yes, that is my idea! the magnets i used weren’t strong enough though :frowning: so i gotta figure out a better choice of magnet. (and yes, they were facing the proper direction :rofl:)
