Making bag durable.

I just crochted a bag so I wanted to put my mobile, money etc like heavy stuff and every time I put put something heavy it goes down. So what should I do to make it safe for heavy stuff?

You could always add a middle layer of acrylic canvas to provide some stability.
I’ve also heard that Tunisian crochet is the best kind for making straps. as it is not as stretchy

Lining the bag with fabric definitely helps. Can we see the bag?

Have you used the canvas method yourself, or have a reference of it? I’m just wondering what it would look like in a finished product.

I haven’t used it in a bag but I use it a lot while making flat bottoms or walls for things. You’d kinda just make two panels and put it in between, or you can put it in between a fabric layer and the crochet layer
