Love this post, such great advice!
For my previous markets I crocheted some mutlicoloured bunting to hang up on the stall, can be a good attraction if you don’t make showstopper pieces  you can also reuse it for all your markets (although I’m thinking of making a Christmas tree one for the winter markets)

Thank you! These are really good tips! I am also a “pack whateverer” when it comes to markets. I don’t generally like making the same thing over and over again.

Thank you for the advice. I’ve done markets for other projects before but I’m struggling to decide what to do to price my crochet. Normally I base price on materials AND time but I’m still working on crocheting at a decent speed and I usually fail to time myself because I start and stop a million times as I do it more between things.

Do you have pictures of some of your price points for items? I have some bats and ghosts made right now because they were a request from a couple of regulars from my other stuff but I’m struggling to know what to charge.

Of course! I actually have a market on Saturday that I’m going to make a post about, but here’s my last setup!

What pattern is the sea turtle?

I struggle with that as well! I usually go off size/yarn type/time, but I don’t have a set formula. I’ll include some different items and their price ranges:

$5-$7

$8-$10

$11-15

$16-$20

$22-$28

$30-38

$40-$48

I use scotch tape! You can tape down signs, tape the edges of your tablecloths to the table …

As someone who has done many markets, this is so accurate and thorough! I will add that mystery boxes and bags are great for the people who have a hard time with decisions and just want the decision made for them. I like to have different tiers: $5, $10, and $20 blind bags. Sometimes I’ll even make $1 kids ones. Just a few little fun toys stuffed it. The kids ones aren’t profitable on their own, but it brings parents to your table because the kids found $1 items, and it inspires the grown folks to look around too. Then the more people at your booth, the more people will get curious and want to come check it out too. I usually sell out of mystery bags.
