Do u have a pattern for the little turtle with the backpack with a green price tag
It’s my pattern! It still hasn’t released yet tho.
Good luck! I hope u sell out
I hope everything goes well for you tomorrow. Have a fantastic day!
Everything looks great, good luck for the market!
Go for it! I always try to support male crochet artists. Sometimes guys fill a niche that others don’t.
If anyone is having a controversy over that then that’s silly. An art isn’t owned by any one group. So go for it! You might end up filling a role that no one knew was available
Ooo looks good!! Wishing you the absolute best!!
Ooooh I love the cat!
wait….the color pricing was actually kinda smart![]()
There’s no controversy. You might just inspire more guys to crochet. Don’t hold yourself back bc of other’s opinions. Go for it!

so cute, good luck!!!
Nice Job! Hope it goes well!
Good luck ![]()
I going to leave this here. Please don’t drop your dreams based on people’s silly opinion EnterShopNameGuy.
Just do it! ![]()
Crochet is for everyone
Economic Survival (The Great Famine)
In both Scotland and Ireland during the mid-19th century, fiber arts became a vital source of income during times of extreme poverty, such as the Potato Famine.
-
Whole Family Effort: Entire families—men, women, and children—learned to crochet lace to sell for food and rent.
-
Shared Duty: While women and children often produced the more intricate lace, men frequently participated in the production to supplement the family’s income when other work was unavailable.
3. Historical Shift in Gender Roles
The “controversy” of men crocheting today often stems from a misunderstanding of this history.
-
Pre-Industrial Guilds: Historically, many fiber arts were part of male-dominated guilds until the Industrial Revolution moved production into factories.
-
The “Victorian Housewife” Stereotype: It was only after industrialization that fiber arts were rebranded as “women’s work” or leisure hobbies for stay-at-home wives.
-
Military Use: Even into the 20th century, male soldiers were taught fiber arts like crochet and knitting during World War I as a form of therapy to manage what is now known as PTSD.
very cool!! What pattern did you use for the grey stripy cat?
I hope you did well!
I don’t understand, why would it be confusing? ![]()
I think being scared is a natural thing for anyone doing a market. Let’s rename that feeling to ‘excitement’ instead. What’s the worst that could happen? You might not sell anything. But you also might sell out. Think of it as a learning experience. I’m sure you would get a lot of positive, encouraging and supportive comments from market goers. Believe in yourself - we believe in you.
I’ve seen plenty of guys on social media crocheting, knitting, quilting and sewing. If crocheting is what you love to do, grab it by the horns, and run with it…own it…
