Memory blanket/granny squares project

Every new yarn skein i get, even repeats, i always make a 2 row granny square. Ive done this for over 2 years, (i have some skeins i havent made some for) Even if its the same color, i make a square. Some ive missed cuz it was skein after skein and i spaced it (like my circle skirt was like… 8 skeins of black)
The goal was to turn them into a blanket, as a way to remember each project ive done, each yarn ive ever used.

With trail and error, i kept trying different ways to join. Slip stitch left the corners open. Whip stitch was too sloppy… Then, i made this balaclava for my friend and learned the invisible join. Video below :point_down:t3:

GAME CHANGER. I can finally join all my squares!! BRB… Lol is this something you would try???

That’s so cool! And I’ll definitely use this next time I need to connect granny squares! I’d love to see your blanket once it’s done! (Or your progress)
