Micro crochet help

Hey guys! I recently started making micro crochet. I kind of want to sell them in these little jars, but i feel like if i price them accordingly nobody will buy them. Thing is they take like hours each but they are so small people might think its a scam. Any ideas on how i can sell these without large issues?

Those are sooo cute! Honestly 100% understand that struggle. Little ideas that may make the customer feel like the price point is ā€˜better’ (bc lets face it- not everyone knows or appreciates the time it takes to do it), id recommend ā€œspicingā€ up the jars. Even if its just with a little ribbon or small scenery. It could be cute to add a tiny chain to them with a little hook/clasp, and add a loop to the top of the jar inside and attach the lil critters to it. Just to make them look like theyre floating lol, but also an option to remove it and what not.

Sorry for the long message! Im amazed by your skills and even if you dont do anything more, there are others, like myself, who knows how difficult and amazing your skills are and there is a market for them regardless <3

This is one of the reasons I don’t do micro crochet/ sell anything that uses under weight 4 yarn. Definitely don’t underprice yourself.
Maybe try making a sign that explains what micro crochet is, and how long it takes?

They are so cute! I’m not very good with selling and things like that (and I’m a chunky yarn girl!) but I think prise them with keeping in mind how long it took you and how cute they are and if ppl think that is overpriced then that’s on them bc they don’t know how long it takes and how hard it is to make something like that.

I do micro crochet myself, they take forever! I would have a base price for every hour. So like 5 per hour. So if it takes 3 hours then it’d be 15 bucks then the price of materials :3 for me that’d be around 20 bucks each

Those are SO CUTE!!! I’m not coordinated enough work with such small yarn LOL :joy:, but those must be so difficult! Maybe make a sign explaining the prices? :woman_shrugging:

What kind of thread do use for those?

This is how i would sell it,
Cost of supplise Ɨ hours spent.
This can make these items pretty pricey…
If that dose not work, then my solutipn is:
Hours spent Ɨ number of supplies.
This can make these items a bit cheap…
But! Have no fear! If you subtract the price of the second strategy from the price of the first strategy, you will get an overall price.
I HOPE THIS WORKS! If this dose possibly work, I would love some feed back!

omg if you put eye screws in the cork they could be necklaces!!! People pay way more for necklaces than little trinkets in my experience.
I’d gladly spend like 30-35 dollars if it was a necklace :sob:

True!! Especially if that idea was combined with the one above about making them float in the jar. That would be so cute

Something I’ve considered trying is adding some kind of labeling on my tags that makes it clear that each piece is 100% handmade and unique. Maybe even calling it ā€œheirloom quality.ā€ Another idea I’ve heard of is people putting the time it took to make on their tags. I dunno what works or not, just some ideas. There’s some kind of psychology to how customers will perceive an identical item differently just due to labeling/marketing differences… I’m still working on figuring that out for myself.

I think they are soo cute maybe make little assortments like fruit and animal or something with like two in each jar. It will be a lot of work but they are worth buying in my opinion but im no expert.
