So I’m trying to crochet Luna Lovegoods radish earrings and I realised that micro amigurumi is soo hard. I can do granny squares but amis are confusing and complicated. So I have some questions:
#1 Stitch markers? My normal ones don’t fit in the small stitches.
#2 How to avoid holes? When I’m crocheting with the thread there’s always holes. Edit: I’m using a 0.6mm hook.
#3 Any tips on how to see your stitches? I have a lamp from IKEA but I can barely see the stitches.
Tysm in advance!!!

i’ve never done microcrochet, but i would say this:
- js use a contrasting color of thread as your stitch marker and crochet over it when you do the first stitch
- maybe your hook size is too big??
and i know @Juniper2010 js micro-crocheted an owl (1mm hook), so maybe she can help!!

Hmm maybe use a small safety pin for a stitch marker I’ve never micro crocheted before so idk about the rest of the stuff

Okay so its great to use yarn under. I use a paper clip for my stitch marker!

Have you conidered lighted jeweler’s headset or glasses? I’m a retired nurse practitioner. I use the set I used to wear for suturing when I’m doing fine needlework.
