when working in a mr, how on earth do you make color changes less visible??

What i do is change color right before i finish the stitch instead of changing color on a new st, when it says change color i change color in the stitch before, before i pull it through. Maybe this makes sense, idk, thats just what i do

i do the same thing but it doesn’t really help me unless i’m working on doubles instead of singles
