A quick summary is there were alot of broken eggs and bird deaths
That sounds terrible!
It really is, hereās the full story if ya want
Basically there are three birds, one is called shade (female), one is holly (male), and one is banana (female). (guys donāt mind the names, the first two I named them after my old birds cuz they looked like them)
You probably already see a problem, there is one male and two females. The females start fighting so they separate banana into a different cage and later sell her. (she had an egg but apparently the new owner cooked it?)
Ok so shade lays an egg. It cracks. Shade lays another egg, it cracked (honestly I have no clue how many times this happened). Shade lays another egg, IT HATCHES, then the baby bird dies. FINALLY SHADE LAYS AN EGG AND IT SURVIVES and itās an albino bird! Then she proceeded to go on a baby rampage and everything went well for a while, they had to sell some of the baby birds but other than that it was peaceful. (well my friendās brother was holding one of the birds and accidently killed it :( and so they put it in a plastic bag and buried it and then the bag was found empty so I think it got eaten) Now one of the daughter birds wanted the nest and killed the mom (shade). So thatās the whole bird trauma (sorry for the extremely long story)
Wow thats ![]()
That is what birds do. They fight for survival. We have for each bird there own cage. Unless they are the wild ones they are couples. But cracked eggs is due to not knowing what to do with it. Killing the baby is moastly due to that something is wrong with it. But if the parents have enough nutrition then there is no problem with the eggs and then it is just bad luck
That the daughter wanted te nest is cos there wasnāt enough place for an extra nest and the strongest bird gets the nest. We separate the babyās from the wild parents as soon as we k ow they can survive on there own. Then they get there own partner and nest. That keeps the peace for the birds
