I used to overthink everything years ago. I learned this verse and kept repeating it, over and over. Not the same, but it helped me.
Psalm 4:8
In peace I will lie down and sleep,
for you alone, Lord,
make me dwell in safety.

Maybe some grounding skills may help you to concentrate on others things.

When you are ready to go to bed think about:

4 things you can see
3 things you hear
2 things you can taste
1 thing you can smell

I missed the feel section in case the sensation came back into your mind.
I use this with my patients to help with sleep and on difficult nights use it myself.

You could also try a breathing technique to help you calm down. I have put a simple one below but there are lots to choose from.

Breathe in for 3 seconds, hold for 2 seconds and breathe out for 3 seconds

Hopefully you will find once you have adjusted to any time differences things will settle.

I hope this helps a little bit at least

I have physical pain and emotional distress that wakes me up at night, on and off depending on what’s going on, so I have to practice using my mental tools to relax and remember that I am loved by God.
I use relaxation from my toes up first, clenching and holding then relaxing each part, which helps me settle down.
Then, I just pray-sing in my mind “Holy Spirit you are welcome here” or simply say “Jesus” over and over - and I hold my hand to remind my body that I am safe.
It gets me back to sleep, and the next day I pay attention to my needs a bit better (pray, drink water, eat healthy, sing, dance, and laugh more, create something new, etc. )
HTH :two_hearts:
