I’m only allowed the cooked now that I’m a transplant recipient. No uncooked meats of any kinds in case it makes me reject the kidney. :tipping_hand_woman:t2: Since I’m grateful to actually be alive, cooked is fine! Eel especially! Yum!

I truthfully haven’t had any since my “should-have-died” end stage failure, subsequent dialysis and transplant. I’ve had a few too many near death episodes since 2009 when this all went down, that I don’t eat out very often at all. Being on immunosuppressants (anti-rejection meds) makes it so that my body doesn’t let me know how ill I am until it’s almost too late. Also, I became disabled in 2009 from how bad the end stage failure was, so I’m mostly home-bound, and wear a mask whenever I go out anywhere. Even before covid, now even more so. I’m much more susceptible to catch illnesses than the average person.

But I’m alive, even when hospital medical staff have not given me or my family hope, I’ve come through. God’s just not done with me yet!

Believe it or not I have a fear of fish. I actually am really hesitant to swim in lakes- and I’m fully repulsed by the thought of eating them. I dont mind fish, as long as they can’t get near me…
