Need advice for felt eyes

Hello there ! I’m working on my first ever pair of felted eyes and… I’m struggling finding out what’s off. Do you have any advice to improve this little one please ?

I also tried smaller eyes, but I wasn’t convinced either

Maybe a black outline would help?

Hmm definitely try out a black outline, but maybe the placement feels off? Maybe a little lower? However, its hard to place without the mouth! The mouth is one of his biggest features

Honestly tho- omg its freaking adorable

I think it would help to place them just slightly lower and closer together.

Quick update : I kind of like the new medium eyes ! (the giftee prefers plastic safety eyes so I won’t sew them, but I’m happy I improved a little !)
