need help doing the floating yarn method for crocheting grids

i need help learning how to do the floating yarn method (i tried the bobbin method also, js didnt like making the bobbins). when doing the color change it doesn’t look good and how to make the stiches line up properly. it would be high appreciated if you have any tips
