Kind of? In the corners you need to do (DC 3, ch 2, DC 3) to make it square!

That is what i did, do you think i just need to shape it or redo?

Granny Square Crochet Pattern Diagram (Easy to Read) - This is Crochet

It doesn’t look like you were doing the corners throughout the entire square- @craftycellist
described how to do them in a post above.
I’ll try to edit your picture and mark what went wrong

If this doesn’t make sense, I would try watching a tutorial on YouTube and making a few practice ones before making the ones the pattern calls for.
And answering your question above- blocking or some other form of shaping won’t do very much to correct the square because the problem is within the stitches, and not necessarily a tension thing
Hope I could help, and sorry if I sounded a little harsh, sometimes I can’t get the wording quite right

This is pretty much how I make them. This diagram is as close to perfect as you can get

I’ve been making them for decades so it’s on autopilot and I don’t need any pattern

I normally make afghans as one giant granny square. There are ways to make granny rectangles, granny triangles etc. the patterns are out there

A lot of granny square patterns are different. Make sure you follow the pattern, instead of these tips. For example, if you are doing the one with Katia, for the Ribblympics. Her’s is a little different.

Yes, there are a variety of ways to do granny squares. I’ve seen some that even have additional rows that fill in the holes that normal granny squares have. Like a second layer of rounds on top
