Need pattern suggestions for this yarn!

Hey, my first time posting a topic myself and I suffer with social anxiety and an over thinker so I’m anxious with posting this , so pardon if i mess up anything :x

I have been struggling with finding anything to crochet with this yarn :sob: it just sits on my shelf simply taunting me to use it, and it’s so, so soft too! I have probably 700 yards in this big yarn cake. Id describe the color along the lines of maybe a burgundy, or a maroon-ish like color? Its color is called Merlot from Caron Cloud Cakes.

Any help figuring out what to make with this color would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance!

I prefer overall amigurumi, as I’m most familiar with it. Im willing to try anything else though :purple_heart:

Oh and very importantly, it must be free as i dont really buy patterns . I can take any pattern suggestions outside of ribblr too

P.s. sorry if I’m a bit wordy  it’s the anxiety…

This made me want a summer top. Like a coverup.
Like, maybe this? (I have not tried it yet, but there is one make.)

Ive also thought maybe it would be best for a top of sorts with it  though it would be the first one i have ever made so im a bit hesitant about it  I might have to consider it. Thank you :purple_heart:

Ooo I’ve been meaning to try Caron Cloud Cakes but never got around to it since I also had no idea what to make with it lol  I’ll have to keep an eye on these comments to see what everyone else comes up with  of course you can always double/triple/etc strand it while you work to make the yarn and end product thicker and finish the yarn faster to make space for more yarn lol

Personally I feel like it may be good for scarves, mittens, etc maybe even for cardigans, tops, shrugs etc for amigurumi I never put any thought into it but thinking about how soft it is, it might be a really soft amigurumi! With that color maybe an amigurumi fox ? Or Jellyfish, octopus’s, etc anything really since you could always change up the color of animals

While looking at it, i think it can be a really soft scarf! Might actually be fairly warm too :purple_heart: can see about giving that a try too~

Youre right, that really any color for amigurumi could work for a lot, just changing the colors around  thank you for the suggestions! I’ll really think about them!
