Need some tips on how to teach people knitting?

I personally don’t know how to knit lol I’m a crocheting but normally with teaching someone I explain what I’m doing while doing it and then have that person copy me after they see it a couple times

I think that the key is to start with a good project, something the person actually wants to make. So many learners start with a scarf because that’s what everyone recommands as a first project, but they don’t actually care about having a scarf, so they give up when it gets frustrating.

I learn best by seeing and working with my hands, so I personally learned through video guides like on YouTube! You could always try directing them to a video that’s helped you a lot or something similar, to give them a nice baseline on how to start with knitting, along with being there for them for odds and ends questions.
