Hi friends! I was wondering if y’all have some yarn recommendations for someone with chronic pain issues (looking for ones with lots of color options but not too expensive)
I usually stick to only parfait chunky or blanket yarns cause they’re easier on my joints, but am looking for a softer smaller weight yarn so I can work on some different things

Big Twist yarn is a medium weight softer acrylic sold at Joanne’s (online too). It is affordable with a lot of colors, I use it quite a bit.

If you want lightweight then Sirdar Happy Chenille would be my recommendation. It’s DK so I use a 2.75, comes in about 25 colours and infuriatingly small balls but it’s soooo soft

I recommend:
Facets™ Yarn by Loops & Threads®
Lion Brand® Wool-Ease® Thick & Quick® Solid Yarn
I’ve used these two ALOT for gifts. The first yarn is a bit tedious to frog but other than that its soft and thick. The color choices are also amazing.
The second yard is usually soft but works up quickly. It’s easy on my hands, too.
If you’re looking for a project then you could combine a thick cord (I usually use the cotton macrame cording) and cotton yarn to make hanging baskets or bowls.
