New Double-Release! Mosaic Crochet

This is a VERY BELATED pattern release! (2 of 3) That darn flu going around has had me down repeatedly since October.

But I am pleased to finally release my fully free guide to overlay mosaic crochet (and The Miraculous, to follow)! :sparkles:

This is a fully comprehensive guide, jam-packed with all the information I thought I could stuff in it that’s relevant to the overlay mosaic technique. It’s meant to help beginners get over the fear of trying something new, and remove the need to spend hours searching all over the internet for answers on how to do things!

This includes a small pattern with right and left-handed written directions within Ribblr. There is a downloadable chart. It includes multiple references to YouTube videos to help with visual learners. There is also an entire section on how to convert flat mosaic crochet patterns to crocheting in the round for making bags, pillows, etc!

This will serve as a reference within all other mosaic patterns I release, to avoid pattern bloat and repetition :star_struck:  (I’m thinking of you, my experienced overlay mosaic crocheters)

Thank you to my testers who whipped this up and helped read through everything, offering priceless suggestions! You’re rockstars! (HooksandThread not pictured since I didn’t have one, but they posted a journal with a picture!)

Edit: If you are a designer of mosaic patterns, you are more than welcome to reference this guide in your patterns if you would like!

Edit #2: Due to Ribblr’s rule about self-promo, I’m including the second belated pattern releaes in this thread as well. Please see my comment below for tester appreciation!

Thank you so much for sharing this awesome resource for everyone!:two_hearts: I’ve done a couple of your overlay mosaic pieces (I’d definitely recommend grabbing the Noel and Miraculous mosaic patterns to anyone who’s interested!) and all of your tips were super helpful to a beginner like me. I’m sorry you’ve been so sick, and I hope you’re back to 100% soon! :folded_hands::orange_heart:

You are so kind, thank you so much! :heart_hands: I have been blessed with incredibly understanding and patient testers while I’ve been sick, and that means everything to me!

I’m actually working on brushing up The Miraculous right now so I can get that one out for release, now that I’ve gotten the guide out  I’m so happy you’ve loved working them up!

Congratulations on this pattern release.

I also love the overlay mosaic technique and know a lot of people struggle with it. Your resource will be of great assistance to those starting out. :two_hearts:

Thank you so much for letting me test this pattern for you. It was clear and easy to follow and you provided inspiration on ways the maker could utilize the pattern to make an assortment of larger projects.

I actually have some of my own patterns I want to send out to test soon.

You really provided a lot of help in putting more clarity into things, so I appreciate that a lot. I love having testers who are brand new to a technique, but it also is so valuable to have those who are familiar so they can provide that view as well.

I look forward to see what you’ll be putting out! Congrats!

Tysm for letting me test! Having zero experience with mosaic was so daunting. I really wouldn’t have been so successful without your help. I can’t wait to see the mosaics you release!!

You did great, and are an example to others that even though it might look daunting, it’s so easy once you get the hang of it! (and maybe a little addicting?) :joy:

You also won’t have to wait too long! I have 3 mosaic patterns designed that I just need to get into Ribblr and they’ll be ready for tester calls!
