NEW! vPatterns for Ribblr+ members 📹

I was thinking about the YouTube video creators that are not on Ribblr finding out that their videos are here (without their knowledge or consent). I hope that this won’t end up being a problem for them

I did successfully import one video on a hexagon cardigan (the same one Loaf posted about a while back)

I have some red heart granny square yarn that I got from Joann’s before they closed that I hope will work well with it

This is for personal use for Ribblr+ members, it’s not up for sale or to be discovered. vPatterns otherwise can be listed by the original creator via a Ribblr shop - this has been available for a few months now.

That’s good, that it’s only for personal use. I would hate it if someone somehow managed to import it here and find a way to pass it off as their own work and take unfair advantage of the original designer. I was hoping that you put some safeguards in place to prevent that

I also have these same concerns. Even if it is for personal use, some designers may see if as missing out on a sale for a pattern. They may even be upset that their content is on a platform that they did not know or consent to.

So if the video you import is in another language and the YouTube tutorial video plays music and uses captions as instructions for your language (English for my case) because they don’t do vocal tutorials in English but do in CC how does that work when importing YouTube tutorial videos, does the CC get turned into a ePattern or does it just put the title into the ePattern and nothing else but the video?
