I’m having some trouble trying to create a pattern for everyone who is right handed to have the same color changes as I am a left-handed crocheter. It’s really confusing for me as I don’t really crochet with my right hand. Will you right-handed crocheters still want the pattern even if the cat’s pattern will be mirrored?
If it is okay, I will be adding in pictures of the mirrored cat (for right-hand crocheters) to try and help.
It’s honestly so difficult. I have some color changes done on the chain when attaching the legs together, plus there’s increasing sections with color changes in between.
it depends on how you write your color changes…
sc 4, cc to white, sc 5, cc to orange, sc 6
or like:
sc 4 in orange, sc 5 in white, sc 6 in orange
the second one is easier to flip  or do you do another technique??
oh yeah you’re going to have to switch half the things that would be tricky… i can do it if you want, but tbh i don’t think it really matters that the RH ones will be mirrored from the LH ones :]
I could totally get how this could be so difficult! From my very basic understanding is that whatever you do as a lefthanded crocheter a righthanded crocheter would have to do it in the reverse order. So for this part, you would have to make the legs in the opposite order, you what you second leg is would be my first leg. Now the chain is honestly really hard for me to visualize right now, I’d have to make it to see how it should work up.
But I as a crocheter wouldn’t be upset if the pattern looks slightly different becuase of left-handed vs right handed, I think it just how it is, especially with such complex color work as this cat!
I’m RH and I LOVE this pattern!!! I think that since it’s a calico, it doesn’t matter where the spots are so it works mirrored too!! You’re so talented, gosh!!
