Not smart teachers 😔

OK so does anyone else have any story’s abt their teachers who can’t teach to save their life. I’m In 8th grade and have never been great at math but my new math teacher doesn’t know how to teach she is constantly yelling at the kids literally just because they can’t understand what she is trying to teach. But recently I told her that she had gotten something wrong on a paper and then put her work in front of me and asked if I could correct HER work. Also she constantly says we can’t use calculators and that we won’t use them when we’re older and then when we tell her the her math is wrong because we worked hard to do the math on our own she goes and says ā€œhold on let me check the calculatorā€ so not only does she not know how to teach she’s a hypocrite. I’m not naming any names but I hate cough cough Mrs Waller cough cough and now I was wondering everyone else’s horrible teachers I can’t wait to hear everyone’s point of veiw!!! Sorry for ranting I just really don’t like her

one of my teachers has recently decided that his way of teaching now is to assign us everything as homework and not allow us to ask each other questions in class. otherwise you get screamed at :/

I would change out of mine but my school has a stupid rule where you can’t change anything about your 4 core classes

Awww, I’m sorry! When I was in 8th grade (not too long ago) my literature teacher would never answer our questions! It was like she didn’t know the answers herself or s/t.

I think you should talk to a counselor or admin. Maybe it’s just my school, but they are super understanding and can help you when you’re having trouble with the teachers…
Your teacher is definitely not doing a good job at teaching y’all.

The thing is I get really anxious talking to people but if it gets any worse I might have to talk to our school counselor (I don’t even know who our counselor is and I’ve been going to this school for 3 years :sob: usually because when I have a problem I suck it up not want to bother anyone but this teacher really bothers me)

when I was in fifth grade my homeroom teacher (who also taught math and science) got in a car accident on the second day of school she was out for half the school year which was really hard for me because we had all subs and I have unilateral hearing loss (one ear is half deaf) so I had to keep teaching them how I used my tech. ounce my homeroom teacher came back she was very distracted/surly and wouldn’t let us do this planting thing because she said we would throw the plants (what?) I of course told my friends I didn’t like her. a couple weeks later I was with my friends and the school counselor and we passed by her and said hello. once we got farther down the hall one of my friends said oh look your favorite teacher with sarcasm. when we got back to class my homeroom teacher pulled me and my friend aside and said that she heard what my other friend said. we were the only 2 that had her for a teacher and asked who said she was a bad teacher my friend pointed to me ameidetly. my teacher proceeded to tell me she didn’t talk to my specialist teachrs behind my back. when I got home I told my parents they were so mad at my teacher that they had a meeting with the principle the next day. sorry this is so long but it’s years later and i’m still furious.

For all of you with a problem teacher

Your parents should talk to the principal. My late parents both did that on occasion and that really changed things for the better. Part of that was probably due to my father being a public school teacher and knowing how to talk to them
