LOVE THIS!! (The makes in the background look so cute!!)
I have multiple different ways to store mine lol I have some.just laying on the floor. I have one of those really cute hammocks that you put in the corner of your wall which I store a lot of yarn in and I also keep some in the top of my closet For me. It’s just any way to get it out of the floor.
I have all my yarn in these wire cage things that you can attach to make cubby like spaces. Then I have a bunch of yarn in bins that fit in those spaces and other yarn (the colors/types I have most of) is stacked on each other in those spots.
OH MY GOSH THAT MUCH YARN . . . I WANT IT. That’s the dreeeeeam
I picked up 3 gallon size zip lock type bags off Amazon (they also have 5 gallon) I put yarn of same type and color in each baggie..this is after my daughter puts them in to balls. it makes it easier to just grab the colors I need. I also have flexible storage totes I put them in. those make it nice to stack and store away.. Id take a few pics but I have the room torn apart cleaning.im just taking a break right now.. I’ll try to remember to take some later to post here
There’s more laying around in bins lol. I also got some more today
I have a bin basket thing and I just line up the yarns side by side
I have shelves and wind it up with my yarn winder
I saw a yarn winder mentioned before. Where do you get one?
YTyy
I keep mine in the wooden cubbies, no fabric drawer. Beach bags, shopping bags, laundry baskets, yarn bags, diaper bags, boxs, and alot of extra large totes. .. i have so much yarn. As for the ends i wrap the yarn around the skeins and use a hair clip the keep it in place.
Google yarn winder and it will list everywhere that sells them.
I got mine on Amazon, but most big retailers and craft stores have them. They range in price from 20-100+ bucks.
This is mine
My yarn is just a giant knot
Yes! I saw the clip thing on a Crochet hacks Pinterest vid
I have some yarn caked and put on pegboard with dowels on the wall, some in hammocks, some hanks and OGo yarn hanging on a rope string along the wall, shoved by color in cubes bookcases, some in tubs with tight overs, some shoved under the couch in flat tubs, some in over the door organizers, and finally in decorative baskets in the living room. Oh, and some in the ottoman.
I use a closet hanging shoe holder. Its a big one with dividers that hold four pairs of shoes in each cubby so it fits a ton of yarn
Reusable shopping bags for current projects + stuff I use often, and storage bins for the rest. I’m lucky and my wife loves untangling yarn and putting it into balls lol
Oh to be an American, where you can have that much chunky yarn… (cries in Australian)
