I found this necklace a long time ago. I was fairly certain I could make one. But, I’m stumped. I cannot figure out how to attach the multitude of buttons in the same way. I’ve also searched everywhere I can think of by any tags that might apply. Does anyone know where or if there is a pattern for this and I just not searching correctly? Does it have a proper name?

Twisted Yarns on Youtube has a video on how to crochet a button necklace, the lacing doesnt look as pretty as this picture, but it does show how to put the buttons on

Looks like after the main part of the crochet pattern the person went back down the bottom with a row of either sc or sl st and pulled a string of yarn through the button one that final row at the bottom

I’ve had so many WIPS, I haven’t been ready to tackle trying out the info yet. I’d love for mine to turn out this cool though. I’m button crazy and I would make so many different looking ones in a variety of colors and themes.

I just found a stash of random buttons my mum has, I might try testing out my theory next month (December not November) and see if the theory works, if I remember to do it that is, if I do I’ll let you know, no promises that I’ll remember since I’ve got ADHD, but if I do I’ll let you know if it worked

ADHD here also. That’s why I have so many WIPS. 
I like how simple this basic choker is and it seems it would be quite easy to add the extra detail, like in the one I own.
Yeah, show me where to look if you make one.
