So I bought one of these before and it works pretty well but I will say that the smaller hooks were plastic and they bent easily, so I had to return it because if I kept using it the hook was going to break and be useless. The other problem I had was the way the stitch counter works is that every time you pull yarn to make a stitch it pulls the hook. Pulling the hook counts as a stitch. This works great for basic stitches but for things like dc and bbl stitches it counts them as multiple stitches instead of one. That being said, the light was super helpful for working at night and for dark yarns that are harder to see stitches on. I also got a relatively cheap one so it probably depends on the brand. I just thought I should tell you this so that you have a heads up just in case you want to buy one since I know they’re expensive and I know I was a little disappointed by it.

So I actually have one and while its pretty cool to have the light on the hook, it is not the most comfortable hook to hold… So for me, it works well for a small project

I had one similar without the stitch counter. It had interchangeable clear plastic hooks so the whole hook would light up. It was brilliant with dark yarns but because i crochet quite tightly and was using cotton and acyclic yarn the hooks snapped too easily. I think with chenille yarn it would have been amazing.

It seems useful but I feel like I would accidentally hit the buttons and it would end up being a disaster. I bought a similar kit but it only has the light so I can crochet when the light starts to go out or for dark yarns. I haven’t used it yet. It cost me about 10€ on AliExpress

This is similar to the one i mentioned, just go easy on those plastic hooks and its awesome.
