Pattern idea!

Hey guys! I was thinking about releasing a crochet pattern for String Bean from The Owl House (picture of her below). If I were to release the letters would you be interested in buying it? And if so, how much would you pay?

I personally don’t watch the Owl House, but I would pay around $1-1.50 for that pattern

Same as the others, but I would go on the higher end (3 ish) if you’re going to do all of the little details.

That image appears to be owned by Disney, who is well known for cracking down on use of its trademark and copyright without their legal permission. I wouldn’t personally use their property without their permission

Oh I didn’t think about that! I’ll make sure not to use any Disney images in the future!

It is best to come up with your own unique ideas and images. Even making a pattern that closely resembles anything else already out there can cause issues if the actual owner objects.

I would love a String bean pattern. Unfortunately, I’m broke and am a child who doesn’t want a job so sadly I wouldn’t be able to get the pattern.

Free or paid it doesn’t matter. It’s still protected by copyright and trademark laws. You still have to get legal permission

Well either way it’d still be a cool pattern to make!

I will repeat my answer to the other poster because it’s important

Whether you offer your pattern for Free or paid does not matter. You still have to get permission from the copyright/trademark holder which in your case is Disney

Better to base all your patterns on your original and unique ideas. PLEASE don’t violate copyright and trademark laws
