Being theres lots of blues could do something ocean themed or blue from blues clues, humpback whale, loch ness monster, the squid from coraline

How about something from d&d? There aren’t many patterns out there for the monsters…you can go to d&d beyond and look in Thier bestiary for inspiration. There is well over 1000+ critters to choose from
