Pattern making!

Is there any advice all of you guys could give me about designing patterns? Like common mistakes and stuff? Also I would put the pattern on here so what type of stuff would people be interested in? I currently have an idea to make vegetable dinosaurs like have a corn Dino :sauropod: and a tomato stegosaurus? Thanks in advance!

A tip is to put photos of the like finished pieces, like, the instruction for a leg is done, and there’s a pic how the leg should look like! :>

And I like your pattern ideas! Can’t wait to see them done :>

When I make snakes that are for beginners I show a lot of progress pics for them.

The dino veggies is an amazing idea! I can’t wait to see them!

Progress pictures are your best friend. Even if it feels silly to you, it can really help others.

Also don’t worry about having it perfect right off the bat. Testers are more than happy to help and don’t take their suggestions as a negative reflection on you.

If it’s not to much to ask please tag me on your tester call. I would love to test and help. :purple_heart:

Are you asking about designing or about pattern writing?

I would say, just make sure that your pattern doesn’t have any typos. This happens to me a lot! :sweat_smile:So just proof reading it helps a lot. Also when your like crocheting and writing down the pattern is super useful.

U got this!

It would be a good idea to have your patterns tested here especially if you are a new designer
