Pattern making!

Hi! So basically, I’m very interested in starting to make patterns.:tada: I was wondering if anyone had any tips on starting. :sparkles:

Choose what you love to crochet, and start with making patterns for that! It’s much easier (in my experience) to create the things you love to make most.

Start with a smaller project so it feels less daunting.

Don’t be afraid of putting your first pattern up for testing! That’s what helps us become better designers.

Good luck!

Pls pls pls do not make any more chicken or bee or octopus patterns! Strike a unique niche with ur pattern! Fill a hole, don’t add to one that’s already been filled.

Pattern making is a TON of trial and error so don’t be worried if you mess up! I personally recommend writing the pattern down like either paper and pencil or af a PDF on ribblr I definitely recommend having testers they help alot when it comes to mistakes. You just gotta keep trying until you find something YOU like!:heart_hands:
