Pricing is determined by these factors ( in my opinion and observations) the more elements ( as listed below) the more willing I am to pay a higher price.
1)Itβs been TESTED!
2) has stitch counts after every round/row
3) explains if 1st stitch is counted as a stitch and if next stitch is in 1st stitch or following stitch ( this is usually in notes part of pattern)
4) has pictures or video for difficult areas
5) has video link of how to make project
6) provides a way to reach pattern writer
with questions
7) uses conventional abbreviations according to Craft Yarn Council
8) Has a graph of pattern
9) complexity of pattern ( more details- more money)
10) provided specific things needed for pattern I.e. 3mm safety eyes, 250 yards of weight 4 yarn,
11) Accurately identifies intended audience (beginner, intermediate, advanced)
Hope this helps!
