pattern sale function

Hi Ribblr team, I set up a sale on several of my Christmas themed patterns to start on 1Nov for 1 day, but they all show on sale now. Am I doing something wrong?"

Can you please share a screenshot?
We are not aware of an issue with sales. It runs for many patterns as intended right now.

Feel free to send it in private if you prefer.

Ok, I think I figured it out. I was manually adding the date (mm/dd/yyyy) and the tool was reading the discount but applying it immediately instead of on the date I wanted which is 11/01/2023. I tried using the calendar to select the date and that seems to be working. So I’m thinking that the correct way to program a sale is to use the calendar and not to manually add the dates. Is that it?

Hi, we see the confusion!

The writing style uses dd/mm/yyyy so it might be easier to use the calendar to make sure you enter the correct date.

This means the system basically believed you wanted to start the discount from the 11th of January, which was nearly 10 months ago and so it started immediately

Oh, good grief! Yes, we Yanks have trouble with the more widely used dd/mm/yyyy. Thank you

I’ve lived in South America and Europe, and it took me forever to adapt to that format. Couldn’t wait to get back to the good ole USA and our quirks, not to mention hamburgers and hot dogs.

It’s definitely a US thing–I think the rest of the world is using dd/mm/yyyy
