Pattern selling/pricing

Hey guys!!! So basically this week I’m going to start selling patterns here on Ribblr and was wondering if any of u that sell patterns could give me advice on like pricing? Because right now I’m at a loss of figuring out what I’d price stuff​:sweat_smile: also just patterns you’d be willing to buy!! I’d absolutely love some advice!! I don’t sell patterns, but I would say your first few patterns be free, to gain more popularity first, and then start adding $1 - 2 patterns (if they are small). If they are medium - big, I would say $3 - 5. Also, I would keep in mind if your pattern is unique on Ribblr (say, a character from a game that not many people have a pattern for), price it for a bit higher, maybe $5 - 7. That is just my advice though! Since I have never sold patterns, take it with a grain of salt. Hope your shop does well!!!

I‘m actually terrible at pricing but I would suggest that you price them of the time you spent making them. Like when you spend 5 hours on a pattern you could charge it less then when you spend 3 to 4 days making it. My normal price is two dollars per pattern and if I worked really hard on/ like it I’m charging more. People can afford this and you have more moments of happiness when you sell something.
