For some clarification, ai backgrounds are allowed here, just not ai generated photo of the product. So this pattern is fine as is!

I think something similar happened recently to another creator (using AI for the background but not the product) and their photos were still taken down by Ribblr.

Their policy only explicitly mentions being able to use AI for text used in marketing, or images not relating to the pattern (like shop banners). It’s probably safest for people to just avoid using AI at all in product photos (especially with the Ribblr community’s general dislike of images with any hint of AI to them).

There was a discussion with Ribblr a little while ago and they confirmed that ai backgrounds were fine.

Interesting, do you know if it was a private or public discussion? It seemed they were against it in that thread which was pretty recent. Maybe it varies from case to case depending on the image
