Hi guys! So I was just thinking randomly, and I was like ‘are there more girls than boys on Ribblr?’ so then I got the confidence to ask this question:

i mean, i’m a trans masc, so ofc imma say male :D idk it’s funny that trans in itself is an option without specifying
Sorry if I’m being ignorent and like rude- but if you are born male and feel like a a girl (don’t know any other way to explain, sorry if it’s offensive or anything like that) does that mean you’re a trans male or trans female (Once again if I’m using wrong vocab T-T)

I believe it means you’re a “trans woman“. Meaning you imab, but are trans now.

yes, if you’re assigned male at birth (amab) and identify as a female, you’re a trans woman :) trans is a word to describe the gender identity, just an add-on if you will.
and i don’t think there’s any fault in asking, always better than assuming!! i’ve had a few awkward occasions where i’ve told that i’m a trans man, and they’ve answered that they ‘couldn’t have told’ and ‘i passed so well’ and then gone on being supportive while thinking i transitioned from male to female, unintentionally being really hurtful.
