Aww thank you!

Hmm do you mean when you post tester calls, journals, or just in the platform?

When i make my patterns i upload photos (you can check my shop and can see what i mean) the photo appears blurry or fuzzy. But on my phone they look 4k like crystal clear. Im not sure why

Hmm that’s quite odd.

I dont know if it’s possibly the lighting, or just Ribblr glitching in a weird way.
Maybe try to re-upload the photos? If that doesn’t work, I’m not entirely sure what to do.
Lmk if that works. If not, I’ll tag Ribblr.

I’ve had the same problem. Check out this comparison. Zoom in an just look at the quality of the stitches

I’ve also had an issue with uploading my main photos into my patterns. Whenever I go through and add them I have to exit and save the pattern multiple times for the edited photo to finally pop up. Maybe there’s just an issue with photos in general

Yup, have the same issue. Doesn’t matter how many settings I change or whether or not I edit the photos in the app.
It’s not a super huge deal, but it is annoying.

Maybe we can tag ribblr? I wonder if there is a certian pixel size recommended for images or a certain format. Im not sure how to tag them.

To be honest, same here, my pics are great on my phone, really it seems 4k, when i zoom it s super high quality, but when i post, either on ribblr or insta, the pics appear either blurry or grainy and poor quality, i don’t know how to fix this

Wierd, for me my photos are normally better quality on here then on my device but only when im uploading a pattern they always look worse in my journals

Same! When I post to journals, it is cropped a bit

I always run into the issue of ribblr cropping my pictures, usually resulting in my amigurumi looking like it’s missing the top of its head. I’ve even tried changing my camera option to 1:1 ratio to make sure it’s a square image

Alright. @ribblr, do you know what’s going on?

Hey @Mehkiwi moved to Support :raised_hand_with_fingers_splayed: so it can be seen better.

Are you talking about uploading to the community or to your shop/patterns?

Generally speaking like most platform we have many processes running in the background to both compress and cache photos. This is mostly to allow a quicker upload and for it to load faster on people’s devices.

Let us know what you see and we can take it from there!

Yes, this is very annoying because when someone looks at your shop the photos will not be cropped if you just took the pic as a square BUT when you click on the listing to look at it closer it crops the top and bottom of the photo because it turns the photo into a slightly rectangular shape !

Yes that is the worst!

Unfortunately there’s no way around aspect ratio. Like any other platform, people take photos in different orientations and when showing thumbnails we have to decide on one format. That’s why we the keep your photos proportions by focusing the middle of it in case it’s bigger.

Ok, that makes sense.

Is there a specific aspect ratio that works best for thumbails? Or specific pixel count. Thank you for answering my silly questions.
