Picking stitches

I’m looking for some stitches that are somewhat easy and are textured. And if there’s a video version or step by step version for the stitch let me know! I’m making a hat btw

I’ve never done this but my aunt did and it’s a front post back post stick and it looks amazing and she said it’s not hard

I have done that stitch before! It is pretty easy and looks so good!

I’m not sure how well it would work on a hat, but I enjoy doing the basketweave stitch! It’s fairly simple, just front and back post double crochet, but YouTube has plenty of tutorials on it. (I think this stitch is what the others are talking about?)

It’d be really awesome if someone made a book of textured stitches but you could actually feel what they feel like

The moss stitch is pretty and really easy to make and use, it does give some texture depending on the yarn weight.
