Poll: What stitch is best?

Hey guys :sparkles:

So I wen’t to Target the other day and my mum saw a mesh crocheted bag (this one) :backhand_index_pointing_down::

And so I decided to crochet it for her. If you look closely, it looks like for the solid parts, it’s made of double crochets but do you think I should use double crochets or single crochets?

I would say to make it in dc, but make sure to chain one and skip one st to make the mesh part <3

Yeah the mesh st was one of the first stitches I learned, I was asking about the solid part hehe

I think the solid part is also dc

Unless you plan on lining it double will have everything falling out basically no matter what you do single doesn’t make it disappear but does diminish severity of falling items

definitely chains & dc!:growing_heart:

Dc looks really good, but if you do dc then there may be gaps and items may fall out!
I personally would do sc just to be safe! :heart_hands:

but use cotton yarn and not a giant crochet hook and maybe add lining

For the solid part i would totally do single crochet just to make it less stretchy so it can actually be useable (i would also go down a hook size when working those rounds for just a liitttle less stretchyness) definitely do test swatches if youre unsure though
