Possible Journal & Stash Improvements?

I think the journal and stash functions could be improved in the following ways:

  • Be able to add multiple photos to one journal entry.
  • Have a specific section in the journal where you can write in the materials you used. I personally don’t like that it needs to be attached to a specific journal entry.
  • Be able to pick which photo you want used as the “cover photo” for each journal/make.
  • If you have added items to your stash, be able to select them for your journal (maybe something like a dropdown menu?). This way you can add all the specifics of your materials to your stash ONCE instead of trying to remember and type all the specifics for each journal.
  • Be able to add a hyperlink to stash items so you can easily return to the site they were purchased from (or so others could do the same if they wanted to purchase the same material you used). I realize you can currently copy/paste a link in, but it’s not a hyperlink you can click on that takes you directly to the corresponding site.

EDIT: Also would be nice to have a way to add short video to journals to help explain or show confusing parts of a pattern.

Yesss I so agree with the first one, it’s kind of annoying to have to post all the angles of the project on different journals

I agree, this would be a great addition to Ribblr!
I’ve added some of my yarns to my stash before, thinking I could select them in patterns where there’s a bunch of colour changes. That would make it easier to immediately know what yarn/colour I’m supposed to use for different parts.

There’s a lot of potential for the stash and I hope it’s possible to implement more ways to interact with it!

I’ve actually forgotten about the stash function for a while so I might be wrong about it, please let me know if there’s any hidden/unknown features for the stash other than using it to keep notes on what yarns you have!

As far as I’m aware, it’s currently the equivalent of a personal library for your materials. I would love to be able to use it for journals, and I’m sure pattern makers would love using it in their pattern creations

I like this. I think it is usually the last one, but starting a new make changes that. If it scrolled through all the journal entries, that would be cool. Might be too much to ask though.

I know you can add this in the pattern you make, under materials.

I usually just put that in the first journal entry. Doesn’t really bother me.

Not sure how that would work???

I thought I heard once the stash was getting upgraded. Not sure now though. I really need to add to mine. It did get easier with the glow up.
