I’m going to request prayer… I’m in a major health flare (RA & migraine, especially) and I have a 2-3 hr drive with the kids tomorrow (flare started late last week and they rarely end quickly)

i went to mayo clinic last month for the reasons i listed a while back, and i have not heard any answers. i know the doctors are trying their best to figure my complicated case out, but it stings when you go to somewhere made to give you a solution and they know about as much as you do. i have a follow-up visit this afternoon, prayers that i might get answers but that - above all - God’s will is done in me would be lovely

My heart goes out to you. Both my mother(2018) and mother in law (6/2023) passed from dementia. It’s a long hard road for anyone. I don’t think I could have gone through it as well as I did with out God in my life.

My the Father carry you through it too.

Thank u Gretchen. It has been hard, but i have been trusting God for a turnaround, as well as seeing every response as a sign. No matter what, I want God’s will to be done, whether it’s a turnaround, or multiplication

Remember though that his will is for us to be well. Dementia is not his will. Romans 10:10

Amen  by multiplication, I mean souls that get saved through my Papaw Root’s testimony :church:

My papaw Jeffrey, my mom’s dad, got saved 8 days before he died, and we were praying that he would live longer. However, God has used my Papaw’s story to introduce a lot of strangers to Jesus.
We give out these cards that say ā€œJESUS LOVES YOUā€ in red, and on the back they have the Romans 10:9-10 scripture to help the person learn how to receive Christ (the same Scripture shared with my Papaw by my dad, and later quoted by my Papaw). We have given out many of them, and there have been moments where we have seen someone’s life take a turn, and that is from sharing our family’s story of faith:heart:

I have a prayer request for my younger brother. He’s been dealing with a loneliness and depression, so we’re trying to get him into a good Christian school. We all prayed about it as a family Friday night and God has opened up a door for us this week! On Saturday, my mom actually found a couple of options and is filling out applications; so please keep my brother Josh in your prayers that God will lead him to the right school :sparkling_heart:

[Philippians 4:6-7]

Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.

From my own experiences, whenever I start down a ungodly thought pattern, I talk to God about it.
At first, I’m talking to him about it every 5 minutes, then every 15 minutes, I’m talking to
Him EVERY SINGLE time that rabbit hole starts in my mind. AND I put the Bible on in my headphones to drown out the worry. Eventually, over several days/ weeks I’m praying about it less and my mind is peaceful. I have no idea how it’s going to turnout, but that is God’s problem not mine.
Then praise Him for a peaceful mind!! :raised_hands:t2::raised_hands:t2::raised_hands:t2::raised_hands:t2::clap:t2:

Adding a prayer request
I have given up on doctors, but having a headache more days than not is not acceptable anymore
So I will go see a new neurologist tomorrow (7 Dec)
Please pray for some answers and relief. I can not be dismissed yet again

Thanks for the prayers. We knew it wouldn’t be an immediate fix, so would appreciate continued prayers
He prescribed a med to start and increase dosage after a week, get an MRI of brain, and follow up in 6 weeks. He diagnosed (rediagnosed?) with migraine (17+/30 days having a headache isn’t normal apparently)
Neither husband and I are actually sure if he dismissed or not, a few times it felt like he wasn’t really listening. But at least he ordered a test, which hasn’t been done for this before :woman_shrugging:t3:
