Projects Ideas for Red Heart Yarn

Hi all! I have (like most of us, I’m sure) the BIGGEST stash of Red Heart acrylic yarn. What are your favorite projects to make with it?

I’m not big into amigurumi and don’t find it great for clothing or blankets since it’s stiff / scratchy. If anyone has any ideas I’d love to hear them!

maybe some cute decor like leaves or cute storage buckets!

I like to use it for things I wouldn’t mind being stiffer like bags, ornaments, wall tapestries, and hair clip appliqués. I use it a lot for practicing stitches or creating/working out a pattern before I use my better yarn.

Buckets would be a great idea! I’m moving into a new house and need all the organization.

You could totally do stockings too… lots of colors and will hold up well when Santa fills them up! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I have free ones in my shop that you can use with red heart.

Actually working on one of these now! Two patterns are in the testing process and should be up within the next couple weeks.:laughing:

I’m in love with my newest chart. I want to make a wall hanging with it. SC across and back, not c2c.

Haha I tried to knit one recently and it came out HUGE. I could probably do better with crochet!

this is an actual experiment of softening yarn.

also, I have taken RHSS and successfully softened it with vinegar/ water. Then washed with liquid fabric softener, thrown in dryer with really good results!
