I started a tester call on social media a few days ago but only two people have applied so far, so I’m reaching out here. You can apply by commenting here or under my Instagram post.
Can take decent-quality pictures. I will need at least one picture for advertising purposes. For instance, I want to create a tester appreciation post and show examples of what the character looks like when other people make it. I will credit you for the picture, of course!
Be able to finish the project by September 26 (Friday)
Have an Instagram account (For a group chat). Note: If your account is private, that’s okay! I can check out your crochet creations here on Ribblr, that’s all that matters.
(Optional) let me know what colours you want to use.
Additional info:
I used a 3 mm hook + 4 ply cotton yarn , but you can pick any yarn, hook size, and colours. Be as creative as you want! Warning: there’s quite a bit of hand-sewing involved (9 elements).
Testing goals:
Spotting mistakes (row/stitch count), reporting typos, confusing instructions, or anything else that you think could be improved.
Tester call will close on Sunday, I’ll pick 3 people in total (across both platforms).
PS: This pattern won’t be available on Ribblr for now, because everything is still new to me. I don’t fully understand how Ribblr e-patterns work yet and this design is complex.
I’d love to test it, but I don’t have Instagram. I have cotton yarn or acrylic yarn in the matching colors in stock. Sewing it on wouldn’t be a problem either.
I would love to test! I just made my instagram account today so this is perfect timing. I’d use worsted weight acrylic yarn and a 3.75mm hook! I have a deep purple for the dress + crown, a deep green for the cloak, white for the cloak accents, orange for the pumpkin, yellow for the eyes, and green for the stem + leaf. (My @ is campfirecrochets and is also linked on my profile.)
Dang she is so frickin cute! I am comfortable with intermediate and advanced projects and have done both big and small. I dont have much of a social media presence(no Instagram posting yet lol) yet but can add some photos of items I’ve completed either on here or can give you my reddit username to take a peek. : )
And honestly I would stick to the same colors. I think I have a deep color orange but would stick to the purple and light blue otherwise.
The head holds its shape pretty well on its own, so I only added very little stuffing. I also crochet rather tightly, I think it helps too, it makes pieces more rigid
Thank you for volunteering but I need testers to be part of an instagram group chat. It was very useful for my previous pattern because I could update everyone at once and we could all discuss pattern issues. I do intend to create a Ribblr-exclusive pattern one day, so maybe you can join another time ^^
You do have an instagram account but it’s still empty, am I understanding right? If so, that’s alright! I just need my testers to have an insta account, I can check your Ribblr to see your creations and you can DM me your reddit if you want to show more
Oh… My gods. She’s adorable! Wish I had the time, but good luck with testing!
As a side note, I do believe tester calls on ribblr have to be for patterns on ribblr. I don’t see an application link for the pattern, is this insta exclusive?
Edit: I was looking at this on my phone and didn’t see the note at the bottom of initial post.
Editedit: I just went back and re-read the rules. Nevermind. ^-^ Rule specifically states the test doesn’t have to take place on Ribblr, so ignore me.
Feel free to DM me your reddit! It’s not about the number of projects. I like to look at people’s projects to see their crochet level as well as their creativity
Hi I would love to help test the pattern! I would use acrylic yarn with a 3.5mm hook! I do have a crafty instagram I can use for a chat group! Jwshomegrowncustoms is my insta to see some of my work!
Cotton and tight stitches are the reasons this happens. Cotton yarn will give you a much stiffer fabric as opposed to acrylic or wool for example. I personally dont use cotton very often because of that however this is a major exception imo.
