Purchased Patterns

Hi! I’ve been with ribblr for a while and have a question about patterns.. I travel a lot and as a result don’t always have access to internet. Is it possible to print or download patterns that you have paid for or is everything on the platform available via internet only?

Sometimes if you have the appnopen and the pattern open like this

Then you can otherwise I have to screenshot it. It’s been a suggestion to have a ā€œdownloadable patternā€ page under your profile where you can download patterns to use offline, but we haven’t seen any reply from @Ribblr yet. A lot of people travel and would like to download patterns so no, but that’s my trick is to have a pattern and app open before leaving. I’m sorry!

Here’s the suggestion page. A lot of people would like that!

thank you for responding! The free patterns don’t bother me but the paid ones I feel like we should have access to all the time. The screenshot thing is a good idea thou! I am always afraid of getting kicked off because one time my phone was just hanging in my purse and i forgot to lock the screen and when i pulled my phone back out there was a warning about trying to print the patterns and being kicked off the platform… I don’t even know how to print on my phone. oops!

if you message the designer, they may have a pdf pattern available for you to use! otherwise, you cannot print or download a pattern.

Ofc!! That’s super weird, sometimes smart devices aren’t all that smart!! :joy: but yes, I screenshot them.

Wait, I think i know brb i got an idea

okay! back i went to some other topics

you seriously can't print patterns off here? am i missing something? - #6 by IMadeIt

if anybody’s answer helped you can mark it as the solution!

buut @IMadeIt has commented on a lot of topics like this so they would probably know

You should not be screenshotting patterns. It isn’t allowed on Ribblr. If you want to access the pattern offline, message the designer to ask if they have a pdf available. If not, then you must access the pattern on Ribblr.

Ribblr’s basic premise is to protect designer’s patterns and hard work from being plagiarized, copied, sold and handed out to other makers, thereby preventing the original designer from receiving any earnings they’re entitled to. This is an ever growing problem in our industry.

Ribblr created the e-pattern as a way of providing pattern designers with a more secure way to publish their patterns, thereby reducing the chance of having their patterns use for nefarious purposes.

However, every designer is in full control of how they choose to make their patterns available. Many designers also provide a pdf version of their pattern/s for customers who prefer this option.

Please check your patterns to see if they also have a pdf version available for you to download. If you don’t see this option available on a pattern you’d like, please reach out to the designer and ask them if they would be willing to provide you with a PDF version of their pattern. I’m fairly sure they would be happy to do so for you. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

you aren’t allowed to print or download them, but the designer may be willing to give you a pdf version

I wasnt aware they had a policy on that. I travel a lot, we have 7 hr travel days every 3-4 days to a week through places that are dead zones. I always delete them when I’m done, but for menits extremely frustrating. I now do what I recommended, I open a pattern on the app and keep the app up and it’ll usually work. Ice stopped screenshotting!

Thank you for the suggestion! The designer did in fact email me pdfs!

i would suggest you mark this post as solved, i’m glad they did!

This is my first post… how do I mark solved?

there should be a check mark on the bottom middle with solution next to it
click on it to mark a post as the solution!

If you leave the app for a not too long time while in a pattern, you can keep using it!!! You can not print or download, but if you rlly want you can probably js write it down/screenshot then print.
