QR code for patterns

I was just thinking - I want to encourage more people to purchase my patterns through Ribblr, as it is my favourite site for selling patterns. Could it be possible to generate a QR code, that you can include on a pdf pattern, that directs people to your Ribblr shop and allows them access to the ePattern for free (as they have purchased the pdf pattern elsewhere)? This way, they are more likely to purchase future patterns through Ribblr.

You can try using something like this to make your own qr codes:

If you don’t like this site, you can do a search for “qr code generator” and lots of other options come up, this was just the first one.

Just a warning, if you want to make a code for your shop page make sure you open it without going to the “my shop” tab. If you go to “my shop”, then the url says “https://ribblr.com/myshop” which will lead to Ribblr’s shop page if used without being logged into your account. You can access the url you need by opening a pattern and then clicking on your shop name from there. So for your shop I think it is this: https://ribblr.com/shop/dreamweave-creations

Hope this helps :slightly_smiling_face:

@LilysHandcrafts is right - there are easy ways to generate QR codes. However I believe @DreamWeave was referring to a unique QR code that lets someone redeem a paid-for pattern completely for free, as a gift for buying a PDF you get the Ribblr ePattern version. Is that right?

That is right. I just think it would be awesome to be able to direct people to Ribblr ePatterns who have bought the pattern elsewhere but for them to be able to redeem it for free without having to message you their username and prove they have purchased it. I guess it would have to be a single use code, otherwise they could share it.
