Chunky Yarns :heart_hands:
The other one is harder for me to work with, it always hurts my fingers…

if it hurts your fingers, you can consider getting a yarn tension ring! there are ones on sale on etsy and amazon :two_hearts:

Are you asking about weight or fiber content? Acrylic is a type of fiber, chunky is a weight. They’re not really comparable in that regard. All the chunky yarn I’ve used has been acrylic.

As for weight, I prefer worsted or aran (both medium weight yarns that are sometimes used interchangeably, but they do have a slight difference) though if I’m making a stuffed toy meant for cuddling, I like to use plush chunky yarn.

When it comes to fiber content, I use acrylic for most amigurimi & winter wearables but prefer cotton for summer wearables & tapestry crochet.
