Helllooo Everyone!
I was wondering how often you all wind your yarn.
Do you work from the skein and the wind the left overs?
Do you wind it first?
Do you wind, work from it, and then wind it again?
Not wind it at all?
I know I’m a little all of the above. It really depends on the size the skein is. If it’s one of the larger size skeins I’ll wind it into cakes first, but if it’s a mini one I’ll wait until I’ve used some of to wind it.
I mostly work then wind, I’m hopefully going to organize my yarn stash soon and wind everything that’s in a ball or needs winding.
I have most of my stash in cakes for easier to store but I’ve run out of room so now the cakes sit in boxes in my closet until I use some up haha
I don’t usually wind yarn unless I’ve had to unravel something 
I’m gonna be honest, I don’t even know what this means. 
I just use the skein?
I got into winding cakes so I could store cakes of yarn on a pegboard. Otherwise, I hate using the winder.
I got it too late in my crochet journey. I just got used to pulling the yarn as the skein rolls all over the floor.
So, my skeins are rolling!

If it’s a weird yarn I wind first but other than that I’m a mix like you lol 
I wind when the skein starts to be like ‘uncomfortable’ being loose, or wind it afterwards :>
I work and then only wind when it’s floppy, like it folds itself when u pick it up, unless ik I’m gonna use the whole skein, i wind once it’s floppy
I don’t wind because it loses it elasticity, however if the yarn is already given to me winded I’m not gonna undo it
I got a winder and caked all of my yarn at once and labeled them. I’ll rewind if there’s a bit left after working but sometimes I’ll just ball it after I work.
I JUST got a winder, and right know I’m just winding all my yarn lol
My mom is my winder, but she only makes balls
I prefer working from a cake then a skien, but whenever I buy yarn i always procrastinate winding it till like a month later at two am lol
My mom loves untangling my yarn for me too wind. Sometimes I can convince her to ball it for me. She always talks about sitting there balling yarn for my grandma when she was little
