“THE RATS!” by Næ Næ
(am beginner pls don’t make fun of me .^.)
Who is it that scuttles in the night?
Squeaking with a passion.
Turning on the the kitchen light,
It’s THE RATS!
Their twitching tails whip back and forth,
With a rampant restlessness.
Their matted fur, a shocking sight!
It’s THE RATS!
Oh so cunning, swiftly running.
DODGING TRAPS!
What a show! You’d better know
that it’s THE RATS!
Hide all of your loaves of bread
And don’t forget your smelly cheeses.
Just kidding! They’ve eaten it all!
You can’t get them out of your walls.
If you try, you’ll surely cry.
THE RATS will bring you to your kneeses!
I love rats and I can’t lie!
There isn’t a soul that can deny,
That’s probably because they don’t want to be bit
By the millions of rats that sit
In the ceilings, in the floors
Your dinner is their hors d’oeuvres.
With all the mischief that they cause
Most people are led to think
that rats are dirty, rats are mean,
rats are just a great big STINK!
But my dear friends, if you just paused…
We must admire them, you see.
Like all of us, they play their part.
Burrowing into new terrain,
They might be tricky, but they’ve got heart.
So next time you spot some furry friends,
Taking every crumb of cheese,
Consider stopping to give them pats.
Who knows? Perhaps they will be pleased.
Or perhaps not. After all…
THEY’RE THE RATS!
