Re-Spun Yarn Review by Lion Brand

I’m promised @CraftsByAdrivs I would do a yarn review.
Working with Re-Spun is nice. I picked it out cuz it was 100% polyester and the skein felt soft. It’s listed as a worsted weight yarn (9-11 WPI), I got 8 wpi. So it’s on the thin side. One of its selling points is that it’s made out of recycled plastic- maybe it is maybe it isn’t……

You can frog it but carefully, it snags on itself. You can untangle it with a little bit of work. Does NOT snap easy. A invisible knot with this yarn is not going to come undone in my opinion.
It feels less soft when crocheting than on the skein. Will have to wash it and see what it’s like.
The colors are on the autumn spectrum. Their pink and fawn looks odd next to rest of colors.

I bought this yarn to make this block blanket from Ira Rott’s book.

Great review and your block is looking amazing! What are your plans with it, if you don’t mind me asking or hikacking the thread a little?

To make a couple of blankets (16 blocks maybe more) One a Lion, another a cat. The blocks are from this book.

I knew what book it was from (I recommended it), but I know there are so many things you can make with the blocks, so I was curious what you planned to do… Are you going to make several lion blocks for a blanket then?
