Hello! I’ve recently picked up reading again! What books have you read recently or are reading now?
Here are some of mine:

Read
The book I’m currently reading is The Tale of Genji by Murasaki Shikibu. And I’ve most recently finished The God Of Endings by Jacqueline Holland!
The covers on the books you’ve recently read are amazing, sucker for a cool cover
Not reading anything atm, but i did re-read animal farm a month ago. before that i finished crime and punishment (probably around april)
Oh I don’t think I’ve heard of those before! And same lol, I feel like the cover of a book is so important. I mainly decided to read Red River Seven because of it lol
I’m currently reading All The Light We Cannot See
And I just finished reading Where The Crawdads Sing (which is an amazing book!! I highly recommend!)
A hefty read! How did you find it (crime and punishment)? I’ve been wanting to tackle that one myself!
oh i really enjoyed it! it did take me a while (6 months) but i am a huge fan of Fyodor Dostoevsky. i loved everything about the book, although i do tend to get a tad confused with the names sometimes. i absolutely love his novel The Brothers Karamazov, if your looking for another recommendation
Haha, they’re a bit on the obscure side. The God of Endings is a vampire novel and the other was actually one mentioned in a humanities lecture that piqued my interest.
I’m right there with you, though. I’m totally guilty of buying/checking out books based pretty much on the cover alone
I haven’t read any Dostoevsky, yet (haven’t been brave enough LOL), but seems like this is my sign to start! It’s kind of fun to take your time with a book and let it all marinate. I’m happy to hear you enjoyed your read! You’ve definitely encouraged me to move his works up my TBR - thank you!
if you want a quicker read, he has one titled Notes from the Underground, it’s significantly shorter probably only 200 pages. that’s where i started lol
I will start there then, haha - dip my toes in his prose before I dive into the expansive depths of his other works.
Just finished Dragon fruit, reading The Luminous Life of Lucy Landry
Ooh that sounds intriguing!
I am currently reading ‘The Wheel of Time’ and “What once was mine”. I want to read Powerless, and my recommendations are: The Hunger Games, Dune (book 1), and Black beauty
Oh I read at least most of Black Beauty when I was younger. I used to be OBSESSED with horse books lol
Yeah I would like to read Where the Crawdads Sing! I tried to listen to the audiobook version but I think I’m just not a big audiobook fan in general lol
I am currently audiobooking the Harry Potter series, before that the Lunar Chronicles.
Everyone here is reading more “sophisticated” book yet I’m here reading warrior cats… Its really good though!! Before that I was reading spy x family (not a book, but still)
Yeah I’ve heard a lot of people talk about Warrior Cats. I’ve definitely thought about trying it!
while i do read “sophisticated” books i gave started re-reading a book of fairytales do it’s not all serious books for me lol
