Hello everyone! I hope all of you are doing well!

I haven’t been active on Ribblr much due to all of the pattern stealing a few months ago and moving! I also haven’t really been designing besides a few projects here and there to help test patterns.

I have stopped making the community critters pattern as of now since I’ve lost motivation to make them, but I am working on something special since I did gain a bit of my crojo back!

I just wanted to share a few things I’ve made since my last update (which is not much :joy:)

First, there’s this beautiful tapestry pillow by littlewolfcrochet (Instagram) - it currently is still in testing, but it should be releasing tomorrow I believe!

These adorable “Lions, Tigers, and Bears” pattern by happylittleloopscrochet (on Instagram) - I believe these are an exclusive for “TheHookedHive” though, so not freely available to the public!

Other news:

I’ve joined a CAL for the first time! Of course, it is with a group of friends who I’ve met through Ribblr, but it will not be taking place on here.

I am currently not working on any free patterns, but I do have a pattern in the works as an exclusive pattern for the CAL and it won’t be available to purchase or available to the public after the CAL. I do have a tester call open and you will have to find out more on my Instagram about it, but I won’t publicly publish links here!

I am not sure when I will be designing a new free pattern, but I will let you guys know!

If you guys do make one of my patterns, make sure to also post a journal as I would love to see it! It makes me so happy looking at the journals! :laughing:

Anyways, your makes look amazing! This is the perfect reminder that making more of your critters has been on my to-do list for forever! I’ve only made the scentmage skunk :sob:(which is a big inspo for my next renfaire costume tho) but he’s living his best life on my shelf, between the crystals

I found your mystery tester call on your Instagram and it is soooo tempting to apply bc you never disappoint with your creations! Plus it is really awesome you are doing a CAL! Love that you are expanding your horizons :smiling_face:

Good to hear from you! I hadn’t known there was more instances of theft of your patterns. I’m sorry your creations were stolen like that. Totally understandable how it would take the excitement out of sharing your creativity. (I also feel bad for the majority of us that miss your uplifting input and only want to share in your joy and create beautiful things with you.)

I am glad you are getting some crojo back, and your makes are beautiful!!! I love the lighthouse pillow. How long did that take you? I’ll have to try and find the pattern when it comes out.

I find whenever my crojo is waining, it helps me to make gifts for people I love.

Also, what’s a CAL? Collaboration? Wouldn’t that be COL, though? (Asking sincerely as I’m confused, and would like to know what CAL stands for)

Uhhh…. 2 weeks :laughing::sweat_smile: I did a lot of all day crocheting though, so can’t really take my time into account :joy:

Some people have taken about 4-8 weeks to complete it, so it all depends on how fast you work!

CAL stands for crochet along! I believe we’re supposed to start designer introductions soon (sometime mid-August?) and the actual cal starts in September!

Sucks to hear people have been pattern stealing from you, I can see how that can kind of crush your crojo :<
But all your makes are absolutely amazing as always, I love the light house pillow! It’s so detailed!!

Sounds like you had an enjoyable couple of weeks.

The only thing I’d wish different on the lighthouse pillow is that I wish one side had the boat going out, and the other it was coming back in. (And the boat was deeper in the water or something when it came back after a successful haul.)

Thanks for explaining CAL. Sounds like a lot of fun. I guess its a bunch of designers and you’ll eventually crochet a pattern by each designer?

You’re free to choose which ones you want to make! There are a lot of new designers in this CAL, but their designs are amazing!
