Tell us a little about yourself:
I’m Beth, I live in the middle of England with my boyfriend and dog Gus. Crochet is my full time job and I love it!
When did you start crafting and how?
I have been crafting for as long as I can remember!! It has always been my favourite thing to do but I learnt to crochet nearly 10 years ago when I was at collage. I joined a knitting club but kept showing the teacher crochet designs that I wanted to make so she taught me to crochet instead!
How did you start designing?
When I first started my business I was sewing and upcycling clothes but also making crocheted earrings and these were super popular so I shifted and focused more on crochet. I started making clothing and then people started asking for pattern so they could make my designs themselves.
Do you have a favorite craft type and if so - why?
My favourite craft is crochet! I started crocheting because I loved the vintage vibe but I quickly fell in love with the process too.
What was the most memorable project you worked on?
My Daisy chain dress! It is the biggest project I have ever worked on, it took me around 24 hours to make.
What is your usual process for designing?
I get inspiration from anywhere! Once I have an idea, I like to draw it out, I will try and use yarn I already have for the first draft. Once I have made one, I will make a second in the colours I have envisioned, which usually means yarn shopping!
What inspires you to create?
I love clothes and styling so usually what inspires me is the desire to wear the finished piece.
What are you currently working on? Be honest - how many WIP do you have right now?
I am currently working on some shorts and a top/dress design, but I also have what I call my sofa project (something I work on just fun and not for work) and I’m currently making a blanket for my new baby Niece.
Which of your makes/designs are you most proud of?
My daisy chain dress!
Any favorite song, book or movie you would like to recommend?
I love watching a good series while I crochet. I am currently watching ‘the last of us’.
What is your favorite feature on Ribblr?
I love that you can change the crochet terms to U.K to U.S and visa versa! I write my pattern in U.K terms but that doesn’t suit everyone.
